I started my music journey with the Suzuki violin when I was 2 ½ years old. I switched to learning the piano when I was 4 ½ years old. Music has always been my first language, and I started to read music even before reading English. I am blessed to learn the piano and cello from the best teachers in the Chicagoland area. I have participated in various piano competitions and festivals over the past ten years and completed all 12 levels of the Piano AIM theory exams.

Besides playing the piano, I have been learning the cello for the past seven years, and I also play the guitar at school. Additionally, I have experience playing the clarinet, saxophone, and violin, and I was part of my school choir and show choir in middle school.

During the pandemic, I dedicated a lot of my time to playing various instruments. Since we couldn’t do much outside the home, I decided to engage in community work by teaching kids how to play the piano. I started giving weekly lessons to a few children aged 5-9, and gradually, my studio grew! With not many teachers offering in-person lessons, I felt it was essential for beginners to have that experience. I took great precautions, ensuring everyone wore masks during lessons. Teaching kids turned out to be an enriching experience for me, as I realized how much I enjoy it. I eagerly anticipate my students’ visits each week and find great joy in seeing their progress.

I understand the world is still facing challenges, so I offer free piano lessons to neighborhood kids to spread my love of music. Additionally, I volunteer at senior living homes and organize periodic performances. Please like my Facebook and Instagram pages to follow my journey. I hope to continue teaching and donating to charities that benefit children worldwide.
